Massage Strong COVID-19 FAQ's
What will be different about scheduling my appointment?
Scheduling can still be done by calling or texting our scheduling phone number 859-334-0585
What will be different about arriving to my appointment?
We now ask that you please wait in your car until no more than 5 minutes before your appointment time to limit the amount of people in our waiting room. Once you arrive you will sign a liability waiver, do a verbal covid-19 screening (see above), and may be subjected to having your temperature checked before your session.
What will be different about my massage session?
The only thing different about your massage therapy session will be that your therapist will be wearing a mask. They may also be wearing gloves if they plan to be working on or around your head/face.
What do I need to bring to my massage?
We ask that you please wear a mask when you are lying face up on the table, unless you have a medical condition that requires you not to. We also ask to please practice social distancing in the common areas of our office, being only in contact with your designated therapist.
What about cleaning?
The therapy rooms will be thoroughly disinfected between each and every client. The massage tables have been lined with vinyl coverings that will be disinfected between sessions, along with any and all surfaces that are high touch areas. All linens are washed in a solution with high heat and wrapped in plastic until ready for use. Our public restroom cleaning has been increased by janitorial staff.

Know the Risks
People Who Are at Higher Risk for Severe Illness
COVID-19 is a new disease and there is limited information regarding risk factors for severe disease. Based on currently available information and clinical expertise, older adults and people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions might be at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19.
Based on what we know now, those at high-risk for severe illness from COVID-19 are:
People who live in a nursing home or long-term care facility
People of all ages with underlying medical conditions, particularly if not well controlled, including:

Many conditions can cause a person to be immunocompromised, including cancer treatment, smoking, bone marrow or organ transplantation, immune deficiencies, poorly controlled HIV or AIDS, and prolonged use of corticosteroids and other immune weakening medications
People with severe obesity (body mass index [BMI] of 40 or higher)
People with diabetes
